Please add Planets token support

Planetwatch (PLANETS) is a newer Algorand ASA token that gives tokens for supplying air quality data. In the last few months it was added to the Bitfinex exchange thus now has a monetary value. It would be nice if this token can be added to koinly as I’m currently unable to track my tax accountability without this token.

Hi Sokar,

This token will be automatically added once it gets listed on CoinMarketCap.com.
That should happen any day now since it has been listed on a major exchange.

Not sure where you got your info from, but I just contacted The Official PlanetWatch telegram group and the moderator explained that at present, Coin Market Cap is not going to list this coin.

With this new information, can you please give us an update as to when you will support this coin?

At present, i can’t update my transactions etc, even by creating a csv file or by manually inputting the transactions, as Koinly does not recognise PLANETS.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Petur,

I’m grateful that you have created a PLANETS coin! I can now manually enter my transactions etc. This is not the first time CMC have refused to list a coin listed on an exchange…they don’t seem to follow any pattern.

Hi Paolo,

That is surprising - CoinMarketCap usually lists coins that are trading on major exchanges.

Since it doesn’t seem to be happening, I have added a coin called PLANETS to Koinly. This will allow you to import your transactions and track your costs and gains. Koinly won’t have the prices for this coin until it gets listed on CMC or until we finish our integration with Coingecko.
