I used the Phemex API to connect to Koinly. I exclusively do margin trading on the Phemex platform.
When I was going through my transactions, I realized it is double counting my Fees. Phemex charges a margin funding fee 3 times daily on top of execution fees for Shorts and Longs. Every single Fee transaction is showing up in Koinly. But, Phemex doesn’t actually charge me until I close my position and my fees are charged against my Profit/Loss.
But, Koinly only shows my Realized Profit/Loss (what is actually deposited minus fees). Because of this, my income is WAY off. Koinly is deducting each fee as it is noted on my ledger, and again by not showing my unRealized profit from a closed position.
My only solution is to manually override my profit on each position to include my unrealized profits (Takes a lot of time vs a manual document upload) or to delete every fee transaction (which means I upgraded my Koinly to the Trader version for no reason)…
