Many Transactions Duplicated in Tezos Blockchain Wallets

Describe the problem:

I synched all of my wallets yesterday and all 4 of my Tezos wallets uploaded duplicates of previously uploaded transactions, many of which had been merged, labelled and described. Duplicate transactions were in original form, i.e. not merged, labelled or described. Duplications covered all XTZ transactions from Decemeber to the present, i.e. many hundreds of transactions. This is the second time that I have had to deal with a big duplication issue in the past year.

Which exchange/wallet is this regarding?

All 4 of my non-exchange Tezos blockchain wallets, including Ledger wallets and a Kukai wallet.

How did you import data into this wallet?

All data imported into all 4 wallets has been done by regularly synching the API.

What have you tried to fix this so far?

I have used TzKT to identify duplicate transactions and I have permanantly deleted the duplicates. I have then re-synched these wallets via API and the duplicates have not reappeared. This is a very disturbing bug that I would really like to ensure does not happen again.

I’ve also had this issue. I’ll need to keep syncing my Tezos wallet as I go, and don’t want to have to delete duplicates each time. I know a few people who have had the same issue. Please could this be looked into?

I worked with 2 different techs/devs from Koinly Support and they could not provide any explanation for this issue. I have not had the issue reoccur since early Feb when it last reared its ugly head. Fingers crossed it won’t make a return visit to my Tezos wallets.
