Describe the problem: I had tokens that were “lost” on a decentralized blockchain called DefiChain. dUSD was the token name. it was supposed to be a stablecoin. A large amount of dUSD valued at or slightly above a $1 cost base were locked indefinitely on that blockchain and are unrecoverable. This is due to 90% of the total dUSD stablecoin market cap being locked away by a community-approved algorithm as a countermeasure to the price decline. That still did not stop the price decline. dUSD has crashed to only a couple of cents currently, but the algorithm is set to not release coins for an indefinite period (until the price of the dUSD stablecoin rises back to between $0.80 - $1, for the algorithm to begin releasing locked token amounts in traunches. In essence, those coins will likely never be recovered and are now considered “lost” to me.
Which exchange/wallet is this regarding? DefiChain blockchain, DefiChain Wallet
How did you import data into this wallet? API import
What have you tried to fix this so far? Tried looking into transaction history to find the unidentified transactions of DFI>dUSD that were done directly on the DefiChain blockchain. I can see the BTC>DFI conversions I made using the “Bake.io” platform (Bake.io - formerly Cake.io when I used them, is where I initially converted BTC>DFI, but the conversions of DFI>dUSD were subsequently done directly on the DefiChain blockchain Wallet and do not seem to appear as transactions that actually occurred at the times I have recorded them occurring in Screenshots of the wallet transactions. Looking into it more here, it seems the transactions from DFI may have been labelled as DFI>DFI rather than DFI>dUSD. It is also making my Balance on the Koinly Dashboard look as though I have way more token value than I do, since it thinks that dUSD is still in BTC reather than locked in dUSD (I’m not sure why it thinks they’re in BTC and not in DFI, as DFI is the token I moved BTC to before DFI>dUSD.
What would be the recommendation that Koinly would have to try and resolve this? Can I manually edit transactions and change the DFI token ID to dUSD rather than how it shows currently as DFI or BTC? But even if I did that, I’d still be missing any transactions where 90% of the dUSD I had was Locked away, it seems? So is there a way to mark tokens as “Lost” that have no transaction attached to them, or how would I go about marking the tokens as “lost”. Any help is appreciated. Thx!
