How to treat missing cost basis due to older / unavailable binance data?

Describe the problem:
Since I am not on an auto-sync plan, and I did not sync regularly, I have incomplete binance.com data, which seems to be un-retrievable due to their three-month limit. This results in missing cost basis data. Is there a secret way to get older data? If not, what would be the best practice for reporting missing costs basis? Should I proactively tag/classify it differently in Koinly to indicate that there are errors, so that it shows on my return in at least a somewhat transparent, tried-my-best kind way?

Which exchange/wallet is this regarding?
Binance

How did you import data into this wallet?
API

What have you tried to fix this so far?
Tried exporting data manually from their site but was hit with a three month limit.

Binance only lets you retrive in 3 month blocks, The UI isn’t great but on Binance you can change the start date and get older data. I had to do this for 2017-2019. In 3 month blocks, they let you generate 5 reports per month. Just be careful overlapping dates like like if you do Jan 1st to 1 March. Then make sure the next report you do 27 th feb to 1st May. then just make sure it’s pulled the same data for 27th and 1st march.

Ooooh. I thought they only allow the last three months, and that anything before that is lost forever. I just generated the reports, so thank you!

Haha yer I thought the same thing too, glad I could help
