If you were to buy $100,000 of BTC and sell it for $101,000 your sales would be $101,000, your acquisition cost would be $100,000, and you’d have $1,000 profit.
Same situation if you were to buy $1,000 worth of BTC, sell it for $1,010 100 times in a row - sales of $101,000, acquisition cost of $100,000 and you’d have made $1,000 profit.
