Gift to Spouse (30 day rule)?

Hi All,

If I gift to a spouse surely the 30 day rule doesn’t count as on the day of gifting I don’t know if I will buy any more of the same asset and I have to inform the spouce of the cost basis?

When updating my transactions in Koinly it’s trying to use 30 day rule for the cost basis? Surely this can’t be right?
Hope this makes sense?
