Describe the problem:
The old ENS registrar used a bidding system to get .eth domains. Funds were sent and then some were returned whether you won or lost. After upgrade to the new ENS domain, all funds were returned and they moved to a pay by year system.
Funds from bids and wins were only held until a user released the name. So I would consider this an internal transfer or not something that would trigger a tax event.
ENS Bids are being automatically classified as sells and I think maybe they should be pool or some other internal option.
Which exchange/wallet is this regarding?
Legacy ENS Registrar
How did you import data into this wallet?
These transactions were automatically imported from a public ETH address.
What have you tried to fix this so far?
Not sure how to fix this in bulk. I can only guess that applying pool to all of these transactions is the closest fix?
