I’m showing that some of my crypto sales are using a cost basis that is drastically lower than my actual cost basis. For example, using the HIFO cost basis method, I’m showing cost basis of bitcoin of below $100 per bitcoin. I wish I was that early to the party, but sadly the lowest price that I purchased at was around $4,300 per bitcoin with the highest purchase (pre-2020 year end) happening at around $13,000 per bitcoin. This is happening for all cryptocurrencies and all cost basis methods (FIFO produces a higher cost basis, though still around $600 on the high end).
Did you happen to find a solution for this? same thing is happening to all my coins
Hi my cost basis is wildly underpriced and incorrect as well. I know this because I have manually been tracking my costbasis in Coinmarketcap. I am also in a Taxbit trial and it’s accurate to my manual inputs.
