Cosmos / error "bad protobuf message: fields not divisible by 3" when syncing

Describe the problem:
receiving the error message “bad protobuf message: fields not divisible by 3” when trying to sync a few of my CosmosHub / $ATOM wallets. it does not happen on another wallet, but does occur on 3 wallets.

Which exchange/wallet is this regarding?
CosmosHub ($ATOM)

How did you import data into this wallet?
via wallet address / API sync

What have you tried to fix this so far?
archived the old wallet / disabled the existing API sync, then re-added the wallet with API sync and attempted to resync. it syncs some of the transactions, then throws the above error message.

Pasted output from wallet troubleshooting page:

Wallet: ghost X - $ATOM (Cosmos (ATOM))
Transactions: 422
Imported with: API

  1. bad protobuf message: fields not divisible by 3
  2. No trades found
  3. API does not allow access to: NFT transactions
  4. 12 transactions are missing purchase history
    ---- Missing 2242.042218 ATOM between 2023-02-19 09:02:19 UTC and 2023-08-07 17:56:18 UTC

Hey!

Thanks, I will ask the team regarding this.

Note - archiving a wallet isnt really doing much, the function is limited. I would advise you to delete and recreate instead.

thanks for the update - yeah, was just testing functionality out, had never actually tried “archiving” any wallets :smiley:
