Describe the problem:
When importing data (API & CSV) from Coinbase Pro & Coinbase, deposits/withdrawls between Pro and external wallets are off.
In reality… I transferred SOL directly from Coinbase Pro to an external wallet
In Koinly… I transfered from Coinbase pro to Coinbase, then Coinbase to external wallet. This would be fine, but it often gets the times out of order, and there was no tx imported for the deposit into Coinbase.
I imported data for Coinbase Pro via the API, and for Coinbase by API and then CSV because some transactions were missing from the API.
I’ve been fixing the problem manually, but it would be great if the tx’s connected automatically and if there wasn’t that extra step between Coinbase and Coinbase Pro, which would then match the front end UX on the exchange
My Coinbase USD balance is off too! A deposit I made from my bank to Coinbase Pro to purchase a coin shows on Koinly as a deposit to Coinbase and then a transfer to Coinbase pro so it looks like everything is routed via Coinbase even if you did everything on Coinbase Pro. Im still trying to wrap my head around it so that I can figure out why my Coinbase balance is off.
This is unfortunately an issue with how the API reports the timestamps.
As @Time_Dj suspects, all transfers from Coinbase Pro gets routed through Coinbase even if you sent directly from CB Pro to the other wallet. This is how they report the data via API to us.
But we have made changes on our end to make sure that these still get handled properly.
The reason for the issue you see is coming from the “Deposit” having a timestamp before the “Send” transaction. This causes Koinly to be confused and not matching the transfer automatically. It needs to see that the tokens were sent before being received, which isn’t the case here.
