I moved some LTC to a new wallet as a LTC BEP-20 token. Koinly is showing this as an exchange, so capital gains is applicable.
I marked this as a Swap, as I dont think capital gains should be applied here. But even when marked as swap capital gains is being applied. I thought marking this as a Swap would prevent that?
i have noticed some problems here as well. don’t really know what to tell you to help you…sorry. what i have deduced is that the verbiage on koinly is different than the crypto eco system. ex: if you go to uni-swap and “swap” one coin for another, koinly classifies that as an “exchange” in the transaction list, not a “swap”. when you choose the “edit” menu, it classifies it as a “trade”…very confusing.
In Koinly language a Swap is used for hard forks, change of ticker symbol etc. To get the result you want, manually edit the transaction and mark it as a Transfer.
