# Can I group my transaction history to start from scratch?

Hello. I have accumulated more than 1000 operations on different exchanges, many of them absurd, and every year I have to review them again because Koinly’s adaptation of the APIs incorporates small improvements. I would like to know if, FOR THE TAX REPORT, there is some way to group those operations (for example selling all my coins on December 31 and buying them again on January 1) so that I can somehow get rid of those operations and start from zero by buying those tokens directly from the Ledger and without having so much noise in the history. Thank you.

Thanks for reaching out. 👋🏻

We always recommend keeping your entire transaction history imported to ensure the calculations are correct, but selling everything and buying again on January the 1st might allow you to ‘start over’.

However, this will depend on which country you’re in, as the gains/losses may still be calculated using your older transactions or an average across all time:
