# Binance Tax Reporting API

**Describe the problem:**  
There is a specific API by binance called “Tax Reporting” is this any different from a standard read API? Should this solve the issues of duplicate or inconsistent transactions?

**Which exchange/wallet is this regarding?**  
Binance

**How did you import data into this wallet?**  
API

**What have you tried to fix this so far?**  
Reimport all transactions.

Hi All!

As I understand it, this Tax API is pre-configured to have only the necessary permissions for tax purposes, but you can use either the tax API, or a regular API key with the correct permissions.

It won’t make a difference in terms of transactions that are imported. If you’re getting duplicates there’s gotta be something else going on, then it’s best that you [email us](https://hello@koinly.io) so we can investigate.
